Our Wines
Our
wines consistently win gold, silver, and bronze medals in National
and International competitions.
Our Sparkling Wine is crafted with meticulous care in the traditional
Champagne method. Our Chardonnay is barrel fermented and aged in
French oak; it is redolent with rich flavors of fresh apple and ripe
melon. Vineyard Reserve, a mainstay to our wine list is well-balanced,
with a crisp, dry finish and a subtle, lingering taste of fruit. The barrel-aged red table wine that we produce is Cabernet Franc, the perfect companion to your next meal.
At Hopkins Vineyard, we are also well-known for our semi-sweet wines;
our Westwind, Sachem's Picnic, Peach Wine and Apple Cider. All excellent choices for
light luncheons or picnics.
If you like sweet wines, try our traditional Ice Wine, excellent with Roquefort cheese or foie gras. Those of you who appreciate a true dessert
wine will be pleased with our late-harvest Vidal Blanc. We leave
the grapes on the vine until they are intensely concentrated with
natural sugar, making our Vidal Blanc richly sweet with delicate spice
flavors and floral aromas. |
